Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Farberware Millennium Round Basting BrushCustomer Review: Excellent buy from Farberware Summary: 5 Stars
In my mind, nylon tools are definitely the way to go to preserve the life of your cookware. I worked at a department store in the Housewares department for several years and experienced first hand the destruction metal utensils can do to top of the line pots. Farberware is a name brand that is trusted and rightly so. This basting brush is well worth the money invested in it. It is made from a thick material that can resist high temperatures for a longer period of time without succumbing to the heat. Of course I don't recommend leaving any plastic or nylon utensil on a hot pot for any extended duration. But, if you dart off to answer the phone in the middle of preparing a meal, this utensil will not look like a spatula in a Dali painting. I've had mine for over a year now and it is holding up excellently. Bristles have yet to begin the gravitational plunge that occurs in many basting brushes when used and washed more than 10 times.
Description of Farberware Millennium Round Basting BrushKeep ribs on the grill glistening with sauce and roasts moist in the oven with this basting brush. Its round, nylon bristle head fits into tight areas, like those around a chicken's thigh. The brush is 9 inches long overall. Made of highly polished 18/8 stainless steel, it has soft, gray Santoprene bumps on a satin-finish stainless-steel handle for a slip-resistant grip, and it's dishwasher-safe. The handle is notched for hanging on a hook or a peg. --Fred Brack
