have used it less than a handful of times in a few years. when i bought it the description was not detailed enough and being new to fondue - i did not know what i needed. this is only useful/recommended for oils and non-dairy, non-chocolate fondues. no place to buy pieces to make this more versatile. the length of forks is good. it is stable for adults - would not suggest for ages who do not have total coordination. it does go in dishwasher so that is good, just not versatile.
Description of Farberware 10-Piece Fondue Set, Stainless Steel
Made of gleaming stainless steel and topped by a polished stainless-steel splashguard, this fondue pot and its base strike a stylish note when diners sit down for a festive evening. The pot accommodates any type of fondue--oil, broth, cheese, chocolate--but should not be placed on the stovetop for heating ingredients. Six color-coded, dishwasher-safe fondue forks accompany the pot and fit into the splashguard's slots. The pot has a black wood handle that stays cool to the touch and unscrews so the pot can be washed by hand and the handle wiped with a damp cloth. The pot and stand are 9-1/2 inches high together, and the pot is 6-1/4 inches in diameter. The adjustable burner uses canned fuel or gel fuel. --Fred BrackFondue Sets & Accessories
